Holiday Shop
The Holiday Shop is one of the most popular and well-attended events at Pine Run! It draws families together for an evening of holiday shopping and allows students the opportunity to shop for their relatives by providing a secluded area for shopping and an array of low cost merchandise.
Usually held the first Friday of December, the Holiday Shop is offered in connection with Shop 'Til You Drop, successfully building turn out and providing an enjoyable community event at Pine Run Elementary School.
We continue the tradition of Holiday Shop by building on past success and broadening the offerings to include:
• New quality merchandise
• Structured activities
• New fundraising opportunities
The holiday shop is composed of the following volunteer positions:
Co-Chairs: Work with committee to identify and arrange activities, identify tasks and timeline, approve vendor selection and negotiate contracts, coordinate in advance with school staff and volunteers
Decoration coordinator: Work with 6th grade & committee to assign and coordinate decorations
Volunteer coordinator: Work with Tohickon, CB West and Pine Run staff and parents to staff Holiday Shop stations (store, gift wrap, crafts and food)
Food coordinator: Get prices for sandwiches from local businesses and coordinate food donations and supplies
Merchandise coordinator: Work with vendors to select vendor, order merchandise, arrange in-school display, price and label products
Fundraising coordinator: Solicit raffle donations and sponsorships
Activities coordinator: Purchase wrapping paper and craft items, coordinate signage so that each activity is clearly marked
